Sitting in the MarTech team building and scaling solutions for Viator, an excursions company nested within TripAdvisor

As the joint lead for all engineering projects in T&I I owned the scoping, development and maintenance of our MarTech solutions. Working with internal engineers as well as managing the work of external engineering teams we were collectively responsible for all aspects of custom ETL solutions, internal consultation and our own award winning products.

Moving more centrally into the T&I team, I implemented best practice engineering standards including the use of GitLab, CI/CD, code reviews and engineering standups. I also developed and maintained award winning MarTech solutions collaboratively with a small team if tech-minded colleagues. All of these were hosted using GCP with all DevOps overseen by myself.

Working primarily with Rolex, I created a data structure centered around efficiency using Google BigQuery and CloudFunctions. Deploying APIs, Funnel and DataTransfers allowing the client to have a whole new level of data access. Data was loaded into dashboards which made clear insights driving value for the client. Implementing testing ensured marketing quality within Social and Search for our campaigns.

Working as a full stack developer (Python, Django, HTML, JS) to develop legal software. Working initially as one of two developers, I created the chat system, contract creation tools, the 2FA authentication systems and contributed more broadly to the wider codebase.

Exclusively working with Samsung UK, my role was to extract, transform and visualize insights for UK mobile sales from marketing campaigns. I created the teams first ETL pipeline which replaced hours o manual updates while simultaneously delivering more frequent data updates. I also built forecasting tools to empower non-digital channels through digital.

Initially working with WeShop as their first employee as an intern during my summers while studying. I was hired full time as an analyst after graduation. I had a very broad remit working in this start-up that saw me slowly apply more and more engineering to my role as I learnt it in my free time.
